PRE-ORDER EDITION (LEAD TIME 3-4 WEEKS)

This is a conceptual chess set where pawns are replaced with discarded chewing gum that has been haphazardly squashed into the board. The rest of the royal pieces take a cue from the “playdoh” of the board. This object is completely crafted by hand with no measuring tools or special equipment. no 3D printing no CAD, no machines- and you can probably tell. While trying to steer well clear of clean lines and perfection, it is infused with irreverence.

Each work is hand cast in pigmented resin. There may me discrepancies in colours and textures; all things that come along with handmade objects.

Orders will ship after the 3-4 week mark and will despatch in the order of orders received. We thank all of our clients for being so patient with us as we hand craft each piece.

It must be clearly stated that this is NOT an object for children or babies. It is not a toy and must be kept out of reach of children at all times. Like many other board games it contains small parts.

What’s in the box:

One playdoh chess board (colours vary) 30x30x1cm approximately.

• Thirty-two chess pieces in total: 16 chewing gum pawns, 2 kings, 2 queens, 4 bishops, 4 knights, 4 rooks.

• One Studio Mignone Heart printed calico dust bag for the board

• A smaller calico drawstring bags for the chess pieces

• One chess set care card.
